STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON/IGNITE

If your electric stove will not turn on, first check that it is plugged in and the circuit breakers are on. For your gas stove check the pilot light. Typical problems lie with a surface element, the infinite switch, the oven burner igniter or bake and broil element. We carry parts and tools to quickly fix this problem on all major brands. Call us for a same-day visit and repairs.

BURNER/OVEN WON’T HEAT

If your stove or oven does not heat up call us to fix it today. When the oven does not heat up there is a malfunctioning oven sensor or a broken bake element. When a burned will not get hot, if the terminal block, burner switch, or heating element is broken. These are 1-2 hour repair issues that we can accomplish the same day that you call us.

TIMER/PROGRAM ISSUES

When the stove timer and programmable settings do not work, the problem is the control board which usually needs to be replaced. We can fix this the same day you call and carry control boards for GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore and several other brands of stoves and ranges. All control boards, other parts, and our labor are warrantied.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

A too-hot oven is dangerous and, of course, tends to burn the food to a crisp! Do not try to fix this potentially dangerous problem on your own. Call for an appointment and we will send an experienced technician the same day. The trouble is usually a broken sensor or thermostat. Because of the danger of burns from a too-hot oven, let a pro handle the repairs.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

When the stove igniter glows but does not light, the problem is from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter, or temperature sensor. Our certified technician will find out which part is at fault and either repair or replace it the same day you call us for help.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Our technicians undergo constant re-training in new technologies. This is good because on newer self-cleaning ovens there is an issue with the self-cleaning cycle and the door. The oven cycles though self-cleaning and then the door will not open! Call us for help on this one. We can inspect the thermostat, door latch, and seal to see why the door will not open. Then we will fix it on the spot.
